Holiday Parties For Cheerleaders

By  |  0 Comments

The holiday season is one of the best times of the year! The season is full of food, music, and time to bond with friends and family. One of my favorite things that my team did in high school was a Christmas party at my coaches house! All of us would dress up in Christmas attire (some of us even wore lights around us!) and go over and enjoy a homemade meal.

After we ate, we would gather in the living room and do a Secret Santa gift exchange. This was always so much fun because we would guess who bought the gift, and the night was always full of laughs and tons of pictures. Although I miss my high school cheerleading bonding event, I am looking forward to the one I am having this year with my college team. We have planned a team sleepover and movie night. What better way to bond with your teammates then cuddle up on the couch with hot chocolate and blankets and turn on your favorite Christmas movies! I also recommend doing some outdoor events with your teammates during the winter.

Being from Colorado, when it snows it is not unlikely for my teammates and I to have a snowball fight! If you also live in a place where it snows during the winter, try and get your teammates together to go do an outdoor activity such as tubing or snowboarding. Any activity that you are able to do with your teammates outside of practice will ultimately make your team closer and more successful on the mat. The holiday season is a great time to spend a little extra time with your family and friends when you don’t have school or cheer practice!

Happy holidays my fellow cheerleaders!
